Quadrocycling In Costa Rica
One of the most exciting and exhilarating ways to experience the natural wonders of Costa Rica is on the back of a quad motorcycle. Imagine having a powerful beast of a machine underneath you ready to drive you through muddy waterholes, raging rivers, up steep hillsides and through raw jungles. Take a group of friends and get ready to strap on your helmet, because it is going to be a bumpy ride. If you do not come back covered in mud, then you have not gotten the best out of your quadrocycling adventure.
Quadrocycling Tours
There are touring operators at several points in the country that offer this four wheeling adventure. The trip will usually last on average, three to four hours. It will include breakfast, lunch or dinner, depending on the time of day you choose to go. Refreshments are served along the way, when you stop at a fantastic lookout point or cool stream to rest. The cycles can range in type, but are normally 250 cc Hondas, and the safety helmet is provided.
Things to Expect on Your Quadrocycling Tour
Your tour company might pick you up at your hotel as an added bonus. Once you arrive, pay and are fitted with your gear, you will be off to see waterfalls and rivers. Your trip will take you through plantations of palm and bananas, or possibly teak forests. Muddy back roads will lead you into the jungle, where you may get off the bike for a short hike. When the day of riding ends, you might be able to jump in the refreshing river that you just rode through. Take lots of pictures, and do not forget to be safe.
